The Golden Ring 🪐
Heidi Edström is a performance and visual artist whose work revolves around the tension between different aspects of health and sickness, and our beliefs about what is considered good or bad for our wellbeing. Using performance, installation, sculptures, images, text and sound, her work is often reaching into an uncanny positions between the soothing and the disturbing.
In the performance piece The Golden Ring 🪐, Heidi twists our perspectives of value by transforming gold into urine, to glittering rays of sunshine and back inside into a burning bile that is threatening to come out again.
