Iris Bengtsson

Next time we meet at Broadway

Iris Bengtsson (1992, Sweden) works with the relationship to memory and the borderlands between seriousness and play. Her works are often poetic with a fragile and embarrassing side.

Using scenography, narratives and improvisation of dialogues she attempts to see how the vulnerability of childhood penetrates into one's adult life.
The musical presented at the festival is a personal timeline projected on the idea of the musical, as a meditation on how life fails us in our search for the epic.
